Starting Functional Nutritional

Meeting 1: FREE Initial Consultation, 15 minutes (by phone or video chat)

This first meeting is a chance for you to talk to me about your symptoms, your goals and ask questions about functional nutritional to see if it’s for you. I will talk to you about what I do, and ask some questions of you to see if I can help you meet your goals.

We will determine during this meeting if you are a good fit for functional nutritional and then decide on the next steps together.

Certain cases may not be a good fit for me as your practitioner. You may need other referrals or more time to prepare for the functional nutrition process.


Meeting 2: Comprehensive Initial Appointment – 90 minutes (In-person or video chat) – 175.00

After we have finished our consult, and have decided to move forward together, you will complete the following paperwork (electronically or physical paper):

  • 3-Day Food and Mood Journal
  • Health History Questionnaire
  • Nutritional Assessment Questionnaire (comprehensive symptom survey)
  • Nutritional Therapy Disclaimer/Consent Form

After completing and submitting all of your new client paperwork we will schedule a time for your first appointment.

Local clients, we will determine a meeting location or clinic location. For distance clients, the appointment will be conducted through a secure video chat. 
In this appointment I will:

  • Review and analyze your intake paperwork
  • Conduct a 90-minute interview with you reviewing all relevant symptoms, health history, and lifestyle factors
  • Generate a comprehensive written protocol for you including:
    • Customized nutrition, lifestyle, and supplement recommendations
    • Supplementary resources such as meal templates, shopping lists, books/reading materials, worksheets, etc.
    • Motivation and behavioral strategies for accountability and lifestyle changes
    • Referrals when appropriate

All appointments include a 15 minute follow up phone call, within 2 weeks of the initial appointment. This included service helps you seek clarification, hold yourself accountable, and increase your likelihood of success with your current protocol.

Follow Up Appointments – 45 minutes via video chat or in-person – 150.00

After we have completed your first comprehensive meeting we will book follow up appointments in packages or a la carte. Each appointment includes:

  • Food and Mood journal analysis and guidance
  • Review and update of your comprehensive written protocol
  • Detailed education around your symptoms and my recommendations
  • A 15 minute between appointments follow up phone call

I encourage you to book blocks of appointments due to the incremental nature of functional nutrition. A commitment to long term diet lifestyle change yields the best results.

Package 1: 3 appointments, 3 follow up calls, 425.00 (5% discount)  – to be used within 3 months*
Package 2: 6 appointments, 6 follow up calls, 800.00 ( 10% discount) – to be used within 6 months*
*recommended appointment interval is 4 weeks with a follow-up call in between.


I block my weekly appointments to get you the most personalized, highest care possible. For this reason, you will be asked to reserve your appointment time with a credit card number. In the case of a no-show or late cancellation, your card will be automatically charged the late cancellation fee. 

Credit/Debit is my preferred method of payment. If you choose to use the card on file it will be charged at the time of purchase for packages and after your appointment for a la carte services.

You may use your HSA/FSA accounts to pay for clinical services, but generally not supplements (check with your individual insurance provider). Itemized invoices will be provided for all appointments. I do not participate with insurance plans and am unable to provide insurance billing codes for reimbursement.

Late cancellations, (less than 24 hours in advance of the appointment) will be automatically charged a $25 late fee. This applies to pre-purchased appointments as well as a la cart services. Missed follow up phone calls will not be charged but will not be rescheduled.
